Soft Landing Experiences grew out of my own story of reinvention.
After living in nine countries and navigating the joy and heartbreak of departure, I realized I had built a unique skill set helping others find belonging in new places.

At 62, I founded Soft Landing Experiences to design curated cultural journeys for women, couples, and small groups stepping into new chapters of their lives. Its first branch, Soft Landing Italy, offers relocation concierge services in Umbria and Calabria, blending practical advice with on-the-ground support.

What motivates me is deeply personal. My memoir, The Consequences of Leaving, traces a lifetime of resilience and reinvention through departure. That same theme drives my business. Just as I have rebuilt through loss, travel, and discovery, I now create experiences that help others — especially women 50+ — not only move, but truly arrive.

Our first gulet journey for women embracing retirement is already sold out, with two more creative voyages planned for 2026, including a shore to ship yoga experience and one for memoir writers.

At the heart of my work is this: to help people land softly into the life they are imagining, with confidence, belonging, and joy.
